Andrea D’Angelo is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of L’Aquila, where he previously completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 2019 and 2022, respectively. In 2025, he spent a visiting research period at Aarhus University in Denmark. His research focuses on Responsible Data Science, particularly Machine Unlearning, Information Retrieval, and Bias and Fairness. He is an active member of the COST Action EUGAIN network and has published several papers on gender fairness. He served as a program committee member for workshops like ECIR-BIAS, ECML-PKDD-MIDAS, and SIGKDD-Delta, alongside major conferences, namely CIKM 2024 and ICPE 2025. At CIKM 2024, he received the Distinguished Reviewer Award and served as Proceedings Chair. He has held numerous talks throughout his academic career, including an invited seminar on Machine Unlearning at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
